About
Half Japanese, half French -- Aria Nakamura grew up between two worlds, two aesthetics, two ways of seeing beauty. Born in Bordeaux to a Japanese father and French mother, she moved to Tokyo at 16 to pursue modeling and never looked back.
At 19, she was scouted by Elite Model Management during Paris Fashion Week and quickly became a fixture on the editorial circuit. Her striking blend of Eastern grace and Parisian nonchalance caught the eye of photographers and creative directors alike.
Today at 24, Aria splits her time between Paris and Tokyo -- shooting editorials for Vogue Japan, Elle France, and Harper's Bazaar, walking for Issey Miyake, Sacai, and Chanel, and fronting swimwear campaigns for Eres and Solid & Striped.
Her versatility is her signature: one day she's draped in couture on the steps of the Palais de Tokyo, the next she's barefoot on a beach in Okinawa. She moves between high fashion and lifestyle with effortless ease, bringing an understated intensity to every frame.
Off-set, Aria is a student of ikebana, an avid surfer, and a self-proclaimed ramen connoisseur. She speaks French, Japanese, and English fluently, making her a favorite for bilingual campaigns and international editorials.
